Here are a few things for you to look over before you arrive at the Conference.
Conference App + Check-in
The New Room Conference App is always great for receiving updates and making connections, but this year it’s more important than ever that you download the app and create your account BEFORE you arrive at New Room Conference. Why? Two reasons:
1.) This app is how we’ll check you in at the event.
2.) This app is how you’ll register for breakouts.
And trust us, you want to do both.
How To Download
Head over to newroomconference.com/app and follow the instructions to download the conference app (called Whova) to your device. If prompted, choose “Find My Event,” and search for New Room Conference. Use this email address (the one with which you registered for the conference) to log in and create your profile. You can find a more in-depth walkthrough of app setup here.
A couple of notes:
If you joined us for New Room 2018, you likely already have an account with this app service. If you don’t know your password anymore, simply reset it.
If you registered multiple people under the same email address (for example, your spouse or staff team), those people won’t be recognized by the app as valid attendees. Each user must have a unique email address. If this is the case, pass along the code THEDOORISOPEN, which will allow those individuals entry into the app with a unique email address. Be sure you communicate with your group and share this information in advance of arrival.
Register for Breakouts (seats are limited!)
Choose a breakout session. Click on the Agenda icon and select Thursday (9/23). Beginning at 11:15, you’ll see your options.
Mini-Courses span the length of both breakout session and lunch is provided in the room. If you want to attend one of these two sessions, select the small “add to calendar” icon to the right of the title or, from inside the expanded details area, select “Enroll & Add to My Agenda.” You’re good to go.
Otherwise, feel free to explore all the options for Breakout 1 and Breakout 2 and add one of each to your personal agenda in the method detailed above.
Note: There are capacities for each mini-course and breakout session, and registration is first-come, first-served… so don’t delay!
We encourage you to plan on Wednesday lunch on-site at one of eight food trucks we’ll have at the venue. This will allow you to check in early and at your leisure, enjoy a tasty variety of local food, and get to know some other attendees before we get started!
No advance registration required—food service starts at 11am.
